I am in the process of shopping for a new compact tractor. I have seen all three, Kubota 3010, John Deere 4200, and New Holland TC29. All are ppriced about the same. Anyone out there that can tell me which is the better and more usable tractor would be a help.

Len,Steve is right! Our decision became easy after demo'ing a Kubota,JD, Honda 6255.all three on the same day. NH wasn't an option due to dealer location within my area.I would opt for a JD4300 over the 4200, due to more implement options and hp. And the 4300 is only a few inches longer. Money wise, I would assume you won't be robbingthe savings account, thus the $10-$30 higher payement for the slightly more expensive 4300 will go almost un-noticed. IMHO, it is better in the long run to spend a little more now for what you want, than go base line, be sorry down the road & spend more, constantly trying to make itwhat you should have bought in the first place. I personnally can't say one make is better than another, I can easily say that the JD was the best choice for ME, and the Kubota for example would have been a disappointment. On the other hand, many guys would have the samestory, only with the JD being the disappointment. What I'm trying to get at is, Onlyyou can know what features and functions are MOST important to YOU, Including how well the unit achieves that function. MY advise for your situation, or for any situation,is to take a piece of paper and create a list. Horizontally list the tractors. Vertically list what you will and/or wantto do with the unit. After a demo of each one, Give it a rating of 1 to 10 for each category, Include how it made you feel to sit on that seat, and drive it. Because that is where you will be for the most part. I think you will find that the unit with the highest points is the one you will be most happy with. Might sound a little corny, but it helps to keep the fact straight. And keeps the glitter from over-ruling function. ....

I just bought a New Holland TC18 Boomer last week and got one year same as cash financing. No interest, no payment, no money down...but a year from now it is due. Just thought I'd let you know. This is through New Holland Credit. I love this tractor, my first compact! In my area, south-central Michigan I was able to buy it for less than a B1700, so I went for more tractor for less $.Good Luck, Jim. ....

I am to go to a cadet dealer saturday to test drive a few models and was curious as to what price range the 7360 is in. I have been really interested in the new holland tc33d. I am going to want a loader with it also but don't know of anyone who has one as to get some feed back on them as to how they handle compared to the others. any input on the cub cadet line would be helpfull in my decision. ....

Len,Go and drive all the tractors before you buy. Each has its strong points and each has its weak points. Dealer support is very important, these tractors will last a very long time and you will want a good dealer that will stand by your side! See which tractor fits your needs best and which dealer is going to work with you the best. Get some references from the dealer before you buy. This is my 2 cents worth. ....

i could not afford the loader at this time , however i got the 7360 for 14700. I use it for mowing with a 6 ft finish mower . rototilling and skiding fire wood. I was in the woods the other day and was impressed on how big of a log it would pull. I looked around and the cub dealer was the best deal ....
